Junior doctors threaten to intensify stir Hyderabad, Oct 23 (INN): The Telangana Junior Doctors' Association (TJUDA) has decided to intensify its stir from Friday onwards to press for their demand.
The decision was taken in a meeting of TJUDA held in Osmania Medical College here on Thursday. The junior doctors accused the government of intimidating them using police force. They alleged that the police personnel have beaten the junior doctors on strike on Wednesday night and removed their dharna camp today morning.
Nearly 1,000 junior doctors associated with the TJUDA went on strike on October 1 demanding replacement of one-year compulsory rural stint with a voluntary system.
They are also demanding the introduction of residential system for students and faculty members and provision of special protection force inside the premises of teaching hospitals.Following failure of talks, the government on Wednesday issued order prohibiting strikes and dharnas in hospital or college premises.
