Mukesh Goud meets Naidu, may join TDP HYDERABAD: The Congress party in Hyderabad is likely to get yet another jolt with the possible exit of former minister Mukesh Goud.
The senior Congress leader from the city and a former minister Danam Nagender is already maintaining a safe distance from the party and rumours are making rounds that he might switch loyalties to the TRS.
Now, another Congress minister is trying to leave the party ahead of GHMC elections.
Former minister Mukesh Goud is looking towards TDP and he is likely to join the party, if he gets an assurance to fight the Sanathnagar assembly seat for which elections are likely to be held as the sitting MLA from TDP Talasani Srinivas Yadav joined TRS and was given a berth in the cabinet.
According to sources, senior TDP leader and MP T Devender Goud is holding talks with Mukesh Goud to join the TDP. Mukesh Goud reportedly met TDP chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
It is learnt that Mukesh Goud agreed to join the TDP if he is given a chance to contest the byelection, in case it is held, to the Sanathnagar assembly seat.
The TDP is facing a crisis in Hyderabad city after both of its strong leaders -- Srinivas Yadav and Teegala Krishna Reddy -- joining the TRS. Mukesh Goud's joining the yellow party will increase the party base among the strong Goud community.
