Rly Budget disappointing for Telugu States Hyderabad, Feb 26 (INN): Congress MLA Sampath Kumar on Thursday described the Union Railway Budget as highly disappointing for both the Telugu States, especially Telangana.
Speaking to media persons in Assembly premises, Sampath Kumar said that despite having 13 MPs, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi has failed to get a good package for the Telangana State in the Railway budget. He said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has failed to get a Railway Gate or ROB in his own constituency Gajwel. He said that the budget has been silent on tripling of line between Hyderabad-Vijayawada and Vijayawada-Warangal. The Centre also ignored the proposal for setting up of a Railway Coach Repairing Centre in Alampur.
Sampath Kumar said that the Railway Budget has opened the doors of privatisation and was good for the corporates like the Ambanis, Birlas and Adanis. However, the common man has nothing to cheer for in the Railway Budget.
