GHMC chief inspects civic problems in Nagole Hyderabad, Feb 26 (INN): GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar visited Mamatha Nagar and Venkatramana Colony at Nagole here on Thursday.
The Special Officer interacted with residents on their grievances pertaining to street lights, drainage, sanitation and various civic related issues. Responding to their complaints, he directed the officials to provide the street lights wherever necessary and also to take up the works pertaining to sanitation, storm water drain and other issues on priority.
It may be mentioned that the Chief Minister had visited the Mamathanagar Colony at Nagole circle four days ago and instructed the officials to take up proper maintenance of all the civic works. Further, he had promised to visit the Nagole again in the next week to check the status. In view of the assurance given by the Chief Minister, the GHMC Commissioner visited those areas on Thursday.
The Commissioner directed the concerned officials to take up tree plantation in all the government lands and specific instructions have been given them to put up the proposals for repair of roads, proper sanitation etc., He appealed all the residents of the colony to pay their 100 per cent Property Tax and avail the opportunity given by the government duly waiving the penal interest.
Chief Engineer K Suresh, Additional Commissioner (Health & Sanitation) N Ravi Kiran, Zonal Commissioner (East) CN Raghu Prasad, Deputy Commissioner (LB Nagar Circle) Srinivas Reddy and senior officials from Engineering, Town Planning, Health and UCD wings have participated in the inspection.
