MAA elections: Reasons for Rajendra Prasad victory Elections for prestigious positions of Movie Artists Association (MAA) have been held in most interesting way. When majority of analysts thought that a win would be cake walk for Jayasudha, results came out stunningly with Rajendra Prasad being elected as MAA President defeating Jayasudha by a margin of 87 votes. Now several insiders started analysis about the defeat of Jayasudha group.
Here is analysis about the defeat
1)Murali Mohan lost confidence of junior actors in the last 6 years, by supporting only noted actors. Shivaji Raja, who contested for the post of general secretary post too has won handsomely. This is being seen as an assertion of the minnows over the biggies.
2) The majority secured by Rajendra Prasad is staggering. This has showed that small artistes, who turned out in big numbers, have ensured that Murali Mohan's panel is defeated.
3) Only 394 members have voted and many star heroes missed the polling except Balayya. Jayasudha group is having support of only big actors.
4) Some artists blamed Murali Mohan saying that he turned MAA office in to a party-office and that casted a wrong spell. According to reports some Telangana based parties backed Rajendra Prasad due to this factor.
Veteran actor Vijay Chandar plainly stated that Jayasudha's defeat is Murali Mohan's defeat and not her own defeat because he is the one who runs the entire game from behind. YSR Congress party MLA from Nagari Roja said Rajendra Prasad election would be a slap on the face for some big heads of the industries
