GHMC to buy 2,000 auto-trolleys for garbage lifting Hyderabad, May 23 (INN): As a follow-up to the announcement made by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao during review on Swachh Hyderabad programme, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has begun the identification of 2,000 auto-trolleys for lifting of garbage in its limits.
The GHMC is planning to purchase 2,000 auto trolleys for the lifting of garbage / debris duly involving the youth for employment and also transporting the garbage in a much healthier way without any inconvenience to the citizens. The Chief Minister has also announced that within a span of two months the autos would be deployed in the entire GHMC limits.
GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar have interacted with some of the major motor companies who are dealing with autos and personally inspected the autos at GHMC Head Office today. The auto-trolleys of one ton, one-and-a-half ton, two tons the Commissioner has seen the demonstrations given by the various companies.
The company authorities appraised the Commissioner, GHMC that One ton auto trolleys which are being utilized by the Kothagudam Municipality and one and half ton auto trolleys which are being used by the Ahmedabad, Surat Municipal Corporations where the Commissioner interacted with the company authorizes and enquired about engine conditions, mileage of the vehicle and also hydraulic system details with weights and specifications for which the Commissioner & S.O directed the company authorities to furnish all the details so as to initiate action at the earliest in this regard.
