TRS neglected Mid Manair: Congress
Karimnagar, Sept 27 (INN): TPCC vice chairman and former MP Ponnam Prabhakar on Tuesday lashed out at the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao accusing him of cheating the oustees of Mid Manair Dam (MMD) by not fulfilling his promise of providing double bed-room.
Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, the Congress leader found fault with the Chief Minister saying that the TRS chief was behaving in an irresponsible manner. That the Chief Minister has apologized to the oustees of the Mid-Manair project is a shameful thing to happen, Prabhakar said the Chief Minister has changed his mind now on his promise of double bedroom, he said. He challenged he was ready for a debate as to who has done enough for the Mid-Manair, the Congress leader added.
Expressing fears that the Chief Minister may ditch the oustees of other projects, Prabhakar said that the Chief Minister has promised double bed room for oustees of Karivena project in Mahbubnagar but the Chief Minister may apologize to those oustees a year later, the Congress leader
Prabhakar accused the TRS government of neglecting the MMD. the Chief Minister on one hand says that MMD plays a key role as part of Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project and on the other hand says that the contractor working on left canal was executing poor quality works and tardy progress shows how serious the TRS government is towards the project, the Congress leader said.
The Congress leader found fault with the Chief Minister's statement that the Mission Kakatiya works yielding good results saying that the works under the project were marred by massive corruption. In Sircilla constituency, the tanks renovated under Mission Kakatiy in Mustabad developed breach and this shows the quality of works undertaken by the government, the Congress leader added.
