MP Avanthi Srinivas joins YSRCP Hyderabad, Feb 14: Spilling the beans, Anakapalli MP Avanthi Srinivas said that he had quit TDP to join YSR Congress as he sees a sincere leader in YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and the actual reason for the differences between Chandrababu and the Centre is the complaint of rampant corruption in the state.
Speaking to reporters after formally joining the Party, Srinivas said, 'the actual differences that crop up between TDP and the Centre is when a complaint was lodged against a MLA. With the Prime Minister Office and an enquiry was made and facts have come out in the open. Since then the Centre could read the situation in the state and the prevailing corrupt situation. That is the sole reason for the fall-out.
I decided to join YSRCP as the state needs a leader like YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who has a clarity and vision unlike Chandrababu Naidu who shifts his stand frequently to suit his political needs. I have quit the Lok Sabha and TDP before joining YSRCP while 23 MLAs were taken into TDP and four of them were given cabinet posts even, he said.
'I had vent my feelings when the resignation of MPs in support for Special Category Status (SCS) but the leadership did not heed to my feelings.
Earlier, TDP MLAs Amanchi Krishna Mohan and M Mallikharjun Reddy moved into YSRCP fold which reflects the mood of the people.
