KTR condemns Center against non-BJP states Hyderabad, April 11 (INN): IT & MAUD Minister KTR has criticized the Centre's attitude towards non-BJP states. He retweeted Telangana Government Digital Media Director Kontam Dileep's tweet suggesting that the governor system should be abolished. KTR added his comment to that tweet.
Kontham Dileep tweeted in support of the resolution taken by the Tamil Nadu government against the governor saying that the Governors in the non-BJP states of the country were abusing their powers ruthlessly. He opined that the governor system of the British era should be abolished. He mentioned in his tweet that the Governor of Telangana has also kept some bills pending.
In this context, Minister KTR responded. He alleged that those holding constitutionally high positions had become political pawns under the control of the central government. The Minister criticized the Centre's non-cooperation with the non-BJP states and acted vindictively.
He asked whether this would be a model for cooperative federal governance. KTR tweeted that the central attitude was to harm the spirit of Team India and how this would contribute to the progress and harmony of the country.
