Dharmana to join YSRCP on Feb 9 Srikakulam: Confirming speculations doing the rounds, former minister and MLA Dharmana Prasada Rao announced that he was joining the YSR Congress Party on February 9 at a massive public meeting. Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, YSRCP chief, is expected to attend the function.
The announcement was made at a broad based meeting attended by followers of Dharmana from Srikakulam and Gara mandals, besides YSRCP leaders. The speakers said with Rao joining them, YSRCP prospected would be bolstered sufficiently.
Rao called upon his followers from across the district to attend the public meeting and make a success of it. The Congress MLA said he was joining YSRCP in response to his followers' request and his own disgruntlement at the Congress policies.
Dharmana Krishnadas, YSRCP district president, former municipal chair persons Venkata Padmavati, Andavarapu Varam, ex-chairman of Zilla Parishad Y Satyanarayana were among those present on the occasion.
