The announcement was made at a well-attended gathering of Indian expatriates and local American supporters, who expressed their solidarity with Baddi's decision to run for office.

In his address, Baddi emphasised his commitment to serving the community, stating, "My Telugu heritage and upbringing have instilled in me the values of hard work and service. I now aim to leverage my experience to make a meaningful impact in the Michigan State House, focusing on the development of the 56th District."
Baddi's platform focuses on three key areas. They are Economic Security for Families: Reducing the cost of living and alleviating financial burdens on ordinary people
Improved Education System: Enhancing school safety, recognizing teachers, and providing quality education for a brighter future
Infrastructure development: Modernising roads and transportation facilities across the district
The event was attended by notable community leaders, including State Senator Mike Webber, MIGOP Co-Chair Sunny Reddy, and OCRP Chairman Patrick Vance, who expressed their confidence in Baddi's leadership. Telugu community pillars, including Pramod Gopal, Anand Sinha, and Venkat Mante, also participated, pledging their support for Baddi's campaign.
Baddi concluded his speech by thanking his family and the Telugu community for their unwavering support, emphasising, "It's time to put aside partisan differences and work together for the development of our district. Now is our time!"
