Vijay Mohan appointed co-chairman of IATO AP chapter Visakhapatnam: The Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) has appointed tourism industry veteran K. Vijay Mohan as co-chairman of its Andhra Pradesh chapter.

The appointment is part of IATO's efforts to strengthen its presence in Andhra Pradesh, expand its membership base, and improve coordination with local tourism stakeholders.
Vijay Mohan, CEO of Holiday World, Visakhapatnam, has been associated with the travel and tourism industry since 1998 and brings nearly 28 years of experience. He has built strong ties with Andhra Pradesh tourism officials and industry players over the years.
IATO said his leadership and regional connect would help enhance industry collaboration, create new opportunities for tour operators, and support the State government's tourism development initiatives. The association expects closer coordination with the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department to promote spiritual circuits, coastal tourism, and infrastructure-linked travel.
Industry observers said stronger regional representation in national travel bodies could improve dialogue between policymakers and tourism businesses, and encourage wider participation from local tour operators and hospitality stakeholders.
The move comes as Andhra Pradesh focuses on upgrading tourism infrastructure and attracting more domestic and international travellers. Vijay Mohan's leadership is expected to play a key role in enhancing industry collaboration and creating new opportunities for tour operators and travel professionals in the region.
