Jagan meets President, opposes bifurcation HYDERABAD: YSR Congress Party president and Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met President Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi and urged him not to recommend introduction of AP Reorganisation Bill-2013 in Parliament.
Jagan, who led a delegation of his party leaders to the President at Rashtrapati Bhavan, argued that the bill was not fit to be introduced in Parliament since there was no unanimous resolution from the legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh approving division of the state. He said division was being carried out against all constitutional conventions, precedents and practices.
