Two techies commit suicide in one day HYDERABAD: Two techies ended lives over emotional issues in the city, which came to light on Wednesday. Upset over his wife, with whom he had separated sometime ago, doing steamy scenes in a short film, a software engineer committed suicide by hanging in his house at Ameerpet.
In a separate incident, another techie committed suicide in a similar manner after the girl he was in love with, rejected his proposal for marriage.
Thirty-two year-old B Uday was working in a private firm in Madhapur. He got married to Leela Rani a few years ago. However, he separated from his wife and living along with his friends in a rented house at Ameerpet.
Police said Leela Rani, who is an artiste, played a role in a short film. Recently, Uday watched the film in which she had done some intimate scenes. On Tuesday morning, the techie took the extreme step of hanging from the ceiling. He hails from Chittoor district.
His in-laws were also harassing him after the couple separated, SR Nagar police said. After conducted postmortem, the body was handed over to his relatives.
In another incident, a 30-year-old techie committed suicide on Tuesday after his girl friend refused his marriage proposal. The victim took the extreme step after sending a text message to her: 'Dear friend, I am leaving.'
The deceased was identified as Ravinder Singh, working in a firm in Madhapur. He was a resident of Balaramnagar in Neredmet. According to police, Singh was in love with a girl for the last two years. The girl is also an IT employee.
A few days ago, Singh met the girl's parents, but they refused to give their daughter in marriage to him. A day later, the girl told him to forget her. Depressed, Singh committing suicide by hanging in his house, police said.
