No chance of CM floating a party, says Sailajanath Hyderabad: Minister S Sailajanath said Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy will not float a new political party. Talking to reporters here, Sailajanath said Kiran was striving to keep the State intact. He said there was no chance that Kiran Kumar Reddy would form a party.
'As the Centre took a decision to divide the State, the Seemandhra leaders would maximise efforts to prevent the bill from getting passed in Parliament. As Samaikyandhra leaders, we oppose bifurcation and the Centre has to revoke its decision,' Sailajanath said.
We're all with CM on bifurcation: Parthasarathi
Vijayawada: Minister for Secondary Education K Parthasarathi on Sunday said all the ministers and legislators of the Seemandhra region are solidly behind Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy as the State bifurcation issue entered into final phase.
Speaking to media here on Sunday, Parthasarathi asked how the Union Cabinet could approve the AP Reorganisation Bill-2013, which was unanimously rejected by the MLAs in the Assembly.
The Centre's action in this regard hurting the sentiments of several crores of Telugu people, he lamented. He also said all the Seemandhra ministers and legislators would be behind Kiran Kumar Reddy in the event of his resignation.
CM need not resign: Dokka
Hyderabad: Minister Dokka Manikya Varaprada Rao on Sunday said there was no need for Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to resign in the wake of tabling of AP Reorganisation Bill-2013 in Parliament.
Speaking to media here, Dokka said, 'As Samaikyandhra leaders we oppose bifurcation. Though the Centre is all set to bifurcate the State through passing the bill in Parliament, Kiran Reddy need not put in his papers and rubbishing the news that Kiran Kumar Reddy may quit the Congress and float a new party of his own.'
Dokka said the Chief Minister would lead the party in forthcoming general elections for the Congress. 'We will work under his leadership to campaign for the elections and Congress will win in the general elections as Kiran Kumar Reddy will spearhead campaigning in both Telangana and Seemandhra regions,' he said. He maintained that being a party leader, everyone has to abide by the high command.
