Naidu heading to north? Hyderabad: TDP is all set to become a national party in the country after completion of the State bifurcation process. With the emergence of two states Chandrababu Naidu may likely be elected as its national president.
Telangana TDP Forum convenor E Dayakar Rao said that party chief N Chandrababu Naidu would make an announcement in this regard as the party had met all the conditions prescribed by the Election Commission (EC) to be a national party.
Speaking to newsmen after meeting Naidu at his residence here, he said the TDP chief would soon disclose all details pertaining to the granting of national party status to the party.
A meeting with all TDP leaders from Telangana was being organised on February 22 to chalk out an action plan. Stating that Naidu would also appoint party president for Telangana State, the Forum convenor said that the development taken place in Telangana region during the TDP regime would be one of the poll planks for the TDP in the general election.
Exuding confidence that the TDP would come to power in Telangana, Rao said that people were supporting the party because it was in favour of statehood status.
