Cong, TDP, BJP mulls separate party units HYDERABAD: With bifurcation of the state becoming a reality, political parties, which are operating in both the regions, have begun setting up two separate units for their respective parties in both the proposed states.
AICC leadership is considering to set up a new PCC for Telangana state where as TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is planning the same. The BJP state leadership too has announced that it would soon constitute a separate state unit for Telangana.
According to sources, the AICC high command is planning to set up a separate PCC for Telangana by the second week of March to prepare the party cadres for the ensuing general polls.
D Sridhar Babu, KR Suresh Reddy, Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Mallu Ravi and M Mukesh Goud are said to be in the race to become the first chief of the Telangana PCC.
