Raghuveera to continue with Congress party Anantapur, Feb 22 (INN): Former Revenue Minister Dr N Raghuveera Reddy on Saturday made it clear that he had no plans to leave the Congress party.
Speaking at a programme here, Raghuveera Reddy said that some leaders were leaving the Congress party to avoid facing troubled times. However, he said that he would continue in the Congress and would strengthen it further.
He said all political parties were equally responsible for the division of the State. He said that the Congress party was the last to announce its decision and it went in favour of Telangana only after all parties supported the statehood demand.
However, now the Congress is being targeted only votes and seats, he alleged. Raghuveera Reddy said that Anantapur district would be the worst hit due to bifurcation. He demanded that Anantapur should get its due share in the special package announced by the Centre.
