KCR 7-point appeal to Sonia New Delhi: TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday gave a 7-point appeal to UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi personally. He requested her to grant special status to Telangana state besides national status to Pranahita-Chevella project.
He met UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi along with his family members to express his gratitude to her for taking a historic decision to create Telangana and also in getting the Telangana Bill passed successfully in the Parliament.
MLAs Harish Rao and K.T. Ramarao, his nephew and son respectively and his daughter Kavita were also among those who met her to pay their respects.
He requested Sonia to help setting up of IIM and AIMS branch in Telangana area. He further asked her to arrange supply of 500 MW power from NTPC for 3 years continuously and supply of gas to Sankarpalli and Nedunuru power projects too.
KCR is expected to return to Hyderabad on 26th. He is likely to meet President Pranab Mukherji formally on Monday.
