Naidu opposes move to defer Assembly polls HYDERABAD: TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu took exception to the Centre's plan to postpone Assembly elections in the state. Speaking to reporters at NTR Trust Bhavan here, Naidu said if the Centre tries to postpone Assembly elections, his party would not keep quiet and take the issue to the people.
The Congress-led UPA government was violating the Constitution for political gain and creating a bad precedent, he said. 'People are watching the Congress and would teach it a lesson in the ensuing polls,' he remarked.
Only trustworthy have place in TDP
Chandrababu Naidu said only leaders who are trustworthy and useful to the party will be allowed to join the TDP. Replying to a question, he said, 'Leaders from different political parties are showing interest in joining the party, but we will be taking only those who have credibility and support among public.'
