News: Headline News | SFL to build movement for Individual rights
Hyderabad: Students For Liberty (SFL) South India conducted seminar on Ayn Rand's "philosophy of Objectivism and origin of Individual rights" at Lamakaan. Now India is facing great threat to freedom of speech and individual rights as we seen in Supreme court verdict on section 377. SFL South India President Venkatesh Geriti said "There is great necessity to build movement to protect rights of every individual and every Citizen has right to freedom both socially and economically".
SFL members discussed about "importance of individual rights and Ayn Rand views on Individual rights" following by SFL member Ravi Kiran introduction of objectivism. Ayn Rand is well known novelist for her two best-selling novels The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged. She advocated ideas of free society through her philosophy of Objectivism. A free society requires a limited government that enacts and enforces objective laws for the sole purpose of protecting individual rights.
SFL remembered her quote "The smallest minority on earth is the individual. Those who deny individual rights cannot claim to be defenders of minorities". At end of this discussion SFL members decided to build movement to promote and Protect Individual rights.
