Vatti quits politics
Eluru: Former Minister Vatti Vasant Kumar announced retirement from active politics, after describing the State division as `unfortunate'. Talking to the media in Unguturu, a he demanded expeditious completion of the Polavaram t project.
Vatti, who entered politics as the son of Venkataranga Parthasaradhi, rose to become a Minister in the Y S Rajasekhara Reddy Cabinet. He had won in the 2009 Assembly elections by a majority of 6,459 votes over Ginni Lakshmikantham of the Telugu Desam.
