'TRS delaying merger to weaken TDP' HYDERABAD: Describing TRS going back on its promise on merger with Congress as drama to mislead the people, TDP leader E Peddi Reddy alleged that the TRS was delaying merger to weaken TDP in the region.
Speaking to reporters at NTR Trust Bhavan here, Peddi Reddy said that the whole drama of TRS going back on its promise of merger with Congress is a part of greater conspiracy to weaken the TDP in the region.
'TRS chief K Chandrasekar Rao very well knows that once his party is merged with Congress TDP will become strong in the region and it would not be able to win enough seats in the coming polls.
To safeguard its interest and Congress's prospects in the region, both of them were playing games,' he alleged. 'If TRS is so strong in Telangana then why is it trying to poach leaders of other parties,' he asked.
