Sabitha Indra reddy may join TRS Hyderabad: Speculations are rife that former Home Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy is likely to bid adieu to the Congress and join the TRS soon.
Sabitha met TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao. This gave greater credence to the speculations. Though Sabitha told the media that she met KCR to invite him to her son's marriage, political circles say that she has made up her mind to quit the party.
It may be mentioned here that her close relative and Tandur TDP MLA P Mahender Reddy recently joined TRS and it is said that he has been negotiating with the TRS chief on her behalf.
Sources say that she is waiting for clearance from KCR with an assurance that she would get the B-form for Chevella Assembly constituency. She is also contemplating to bring her son into active politics.
Sabitha has been peeved with the party ever since her name figured in the CBI chargesheet in the disproportionate assets case of Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. The Congress high command had asked her and another minister Dharmana Prasada Rao to resign on moral grounds.
After prolonged deliberations, she and Rao resigned from the government and claimed that they did no wrong. She claimed that, 'We will be proved innocent. We have not personally benefitted from any of this.'
