Congress keen on alliance with KCR: Digvijaya HYDERABAD: The Congress leadership wants to have a pre-poll tie-up with the TRS. Indicating this, AICC state affairs incharge Digvijaya Singh on Wednesday held out an olive branch to the TRS, saying, 'We are open for alliance with the TRS.'
Singh's friendly gesture indirectly asks his party leaders in Telangana to declare a ceasefire with TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Speaking to reporters in Delhi, Singh did not find fault with KCR. Interestingly, he said a committee of T Congress leaders would be set up to look into alliances.
'This committee will hold talks with the committee of the TRS leaders to finalise tie-ups,' he added. It is learnt that he discussed with TRS leader K Keshava Rao seat-sharing arrangement between the two parties. However, Keshava Rao denied talking to Singh.
