Kothapalli, Karumuri all set to join YSRCP Eluru: Sitting and former MLAs from West Godavari district are moving to other parties is the order of the day. A case in point is former legislator Karumuri Nageswara Rao, who met YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, thus paving the way for his entry into the party. Rao had had earlier wanted to join TDP with the rider that he be given the Tanuku Assembly ticket.
With no such assurance forthcoming, he is being forced to jump onto the YRSCP bandwagon. His decision has evoked a mixed reaction among YSRCP leaders, some of whom are enthused while are disappointed at the turn of events.
Cheerla Radhayya, Tanuku YSRCP constituency convener, has already launched his campaign, claiming that he has been promised the party ticket.
Another ex-MLA Mudunoori Prasada Raju has declared that he would enter the poll fray from Narsapur, as Jagan has reportedly sounded him to take up the campaign. Raju has been touring Narsapur and Mogaltur areas, claiming that he had been assured the YSRCP ticket.
Congress legislator Kothapalli Subbarayudu, who was rumoured to be joining the Telugu Desam is report tively on March 11 With Kothapalli entering the fray, Raju's supporters are reportedly having second thoughts about Jagan's sincerity on the issue.
