JC brothers set to join Telugu Desam HYDERABAD: Former minister and Tadipatri MLA JC Diwakar Reddy and his brother JC Prabhakar Reddy are all set to join TDP. JC Diwakar on Saturday announced that he would contest the ensuing Lok Sabha elections on TDP ticket.
He told mediapersons at Hindupur that he could contest from any Parliamentary constituency in Anantapur district, while his brother Prabhakar Reddy would contest from the Assembly. He said he would join the TDP officially next week.
Diwakar Reddy said he took the decision to join the TDP as he felt that only its chief N Chandrababu Naidu was capable of handling the post-bifurcation situation in Andhra Pradesh.
TDP incharge of Tadipatri Assembly segment, Peram Nagi Reddy, joining YSR Congress has resulted in Diwakar Reddy group shifting loyalties to Telugu Desam. Earlier, the group was planning to join YSR Congress.
According to sources, JC brothers are asking for Anantapur Lok Sabha and Tadipatri Assembly seats. But Chandrababu is said to be offering them only the Tadipatri seat.
