No decision yet on alliance with TDP: Rajnath HYDERABAD: Amidst reports of possible BJP-TDP poll alliance, BJP president Rajnath Singh on Tuesday said that he cannot rule out a possible poll alliance with political parties in the state.
Rajnath Singh, who was in the city to address a public meeting at Nizam College grounds, told newsmen at Begumpet Airport that though his party has not yet started talks on poll alliances with political parties in the state, he cannot rule out of a possible alliance with a party in the state.
'Many political parties are in touch with us and we cannot rule out of a possible poll alliance with any party in the country,' he remarked. BJP MP Prakash Javedkar, who was present with Rajnath Singh, said that close aide of Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Ram Kripal Yadav, will join BJP and the announcement in this regard will be made on Wednesday.
Earlier, speaking to reporters BJP state president G Kishan Reddy ruled out poll alliance with TDP. ''Till now the issue of poll alliance has not been discussed in the party nor our party leadership has asked us about it.
The party central leadership had asked us to select candidates for all the seats in the state so where is the question of alliance with any party in the state. Poll alliance with TDP is a media creation,'' he remarked.
He said that party's Telangana district president's meeting is being organised on Wednesday to finalise candidates for the region for the ensuing polls.
Similar exercise is going on in Seemandhra and candidates are being finalised, he said. The final list of candidates to be sent to party's parliamentary board will be finalised on March 15, he said adding separate manifestos will be prepared for Seemandhra and Telangana.
On Kiran Reddy and actor Pawan Kalyan floating new political parties, he said that such parties would not make any impact on the polls.
