Sulking Jana Reddy relents after persuasion New Delhi: The Congress high command on Wednesday tried to pacify its leader Jana Reddy, who was upset following the announcement of Telangana PCC. His name did not figure even in the other important committees such as the Manifesto committee or the Campaign committee.
Jana has been asked to be patient till the general election. State Congress in-charge Digvijay Singh, who met with Jana, took him to AICC president Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday evening.
Inside sources said the party high command tried to impress upon the Telangana leader that caste equations required an OBC leader to be given the charge of the PCC in the post bifurcation scenario.
Sources claimed Jana was asked to contribute to work for the larger interest of the party till elections. There are no indications whether he has been promised any specific position post poll.
