Naidu says TDP never opposed Telangana
KHAMMAM: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu has said that he will strive to ensure social justice in Telangana state. Addressing the 'Praja Garjana' meeting at Pavilion Grounds here Saturday, Naidu claimed that Telangana was developed during the TDP regime. His party had always respected the people of Telangana and never opposed statehood to the region.
Saying that the the rule of 'doras' was thrown out in the Telangana region thanks to the efforts of late chief minister N T Rama rao, he demanded that the Union government do justice to Seemandhra.
Naidu said TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao was a lazy person when he was in the TDP. 'I have groomed him as a leader,' he claimed. Criticising AICC president Sonia Gandhi, the TDP president said she had destroyed the country.
Calling YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy a psychopath, Naidu exuded confidence that the TDP would come to power in both Telangana and Seemandra states and. He assured the people of Khammam district of setting up a steel factory at Bayyaram and provide employment to locals.
Khammam MP Nama Nageswara Rao said many more meeting would be conducted across Telangana.

Suicide bid Over Denial of Ticket
Rajahmundry: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Kunche Kumari attempted to end her life by consuming pesticide in her house here Friday night. She was in the ICU in the government hospital.
According to her husband Kunche Hanmantha Rao, Kumari had resorted to the extreme measure as party state general secretary Gorantla Buchaiah Choudary rejected her request for ticket to contest from the 35th division for corporator post.
Kumari filed the nomination on March 12 and went to meet Choudary for the B form. Dejected, Kumari went to her house and consumed pesticide. She has been working as party president of the 35th division and working for the party for the last seven years.
