TDP to use IVR systems to select candidates Hyderabad, Mar, 16 (INN): Stating that the Telugu Desam Party would select its candidates for the ensuing Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in the most transparent manner, TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday launched the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system.
Giving a demonstration of IVR system to the media at his residence at Jubilee Hills, Naidu said that the party would shortlist four candidates from each constituency and public opinion would be elicited to select the final candidates.
On the lines of None Of The Above (NOTA) option EVMs, people would have a choice to reject all four candidates. The party would also send SMSes listing four names to mobiles of villagers requesting them to select one name among the four. The programme has been named 'Mee Vooru, mee Abhyarthi, Mee Ishtame Naa Ishtam (Your village, Your candidate, Your choice is my choice).
