TDP keen on tie-up with BJP Hyderabad: The TDP has intensi fied its efforts to clinch pre-poll alliance with the BJP, following the TRS and the Congress going separate ways in Telangana.
Party president N Chandrababu Naidu wants to see that there is no quadrangular fight in the region. The party feels that the proTelagnana votes would be split if TRS and Congress contest against each other.
At the same time, the TDP is also focusing on containing desertions. Already 15 out of 40 MLAs from Warangal, Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Adilabad had quit TDP during last four years.
With speculations rife that even the TTDP forum convener Erabelli Dayakar Rao may quit TDP, Naidu called spoke to him, after which Rao said he would continue in the party.
