Discontent leads to protests in Kuppam YSRCP unit Tirupati: Differences in the Kuppam YSRCP unit came to the fore, with the followers of constituency convener M Subramayanam Reddy protesting against leaders, including spokesperson M V Mysoora Reddy, at a meeting on MPTC and ZPTC election.
Mysoora, along with YSRCP leader Diwakar Reddy and former IAS officer Chandramouli, whom the party is contemplating to field against TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, came to Kuppam and stayed in Punnami Resort.
Mysoora and Diwakar addressed the activists, while Chandramouli remained in his room, probably sensing the hostile mood of Subramanyam's followers.
Mysoora advised the activists to work for the party success in ZP polls and support it irrespective of the can didate, without directly mentioning the move to field a new nominee.
Some followers of Subramanyam protested, telling Mysoora that the party would have to pay a heavy price if he was denied the ticket. They would not work for the party if another candidate was named. However, Mysoora succeeded in making Subramanyam Reddy speak.
In the evening a group of women activists reached the resort and openly accused the State party leaders of betraying people of Kuppam and Subramayam.
Jagan during his 'Samaikya Sankaravam' meeting at Madanapalli had revealed that the party was considering to field a new candidate from Kuppam shocking Subramayam. His followers, in jitters with reports almost confirming Chandramouli as the candidate, lost their cool after seeing him with Mysoora.
