KCR back to his old game, whips up emotions Hyderabad : Whipping up emotions ahead of the elections, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief K Chandrashekar Rao asked the government employees, hailing from Seemandhra, to go back to their native places. He also warned that his party would not allow construction of Polavaram project unless the present design was changed.
The TRS supremo was addressing a gathering at his party office where leaders from Maheshwaram, Bodhan, Zaheerabad and other places joined the TRS.
Stepping up his strident posturing, KCR demanded that the seven mandals in Bhadrachalam division, which have been transferred to Seemandhra following the bifurcation, should be restored to Telangana.
"All parties including Congress, TDP and BJP should spell out their stand on retaining these seven mandals in Telangana. BJP senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu also must come clear on his party's stand on the mandals facing submergence," he said.
KCR also made it clear that water would be released to projects in residuary Andhra Pradesh only after filling irrigation projects in Telangana. Raking up controversy over employees' issue again, the TRS boss said that the employees would not have any option and they should go to their respective native places.
"The employees of Telangana should live here and Andhra employees should go to Andhra. The Telangana government will hand over Andhra employees to their native governments," he said and demanded that other political parties make their stand clear on the issue.
Stating that Telangana was an 'unfinished story', he said that the present phase was only an 'interval' and the reconstruction of the State would be the 'climax' of the Telangana story.
"That is the reason why there should be a TRS government in the new State with 16 MPs in the region. We have been carrying out an uncompromising struggle for the last 14 years and it will continue till the dreams are fulfilled," KCR said.
He alleged that power shortage in the region was because of the policies of successive governments of Congress and TDP in the past. He said only a TRS government in the new State could solve people's issues.
"The State of Telangana will not have any transport taxes," he said and added that the same subject was discussed at length in the manifesto committee meeting on Wednesday.
"There will not be any harassment by police and RTA officials in the Telangana State and the TRS government will introduce a health scheme for auto drivers," he said.
