JC Bros to join TDP on 23 March Hyderabad: The Congress leaders from Seemandhra continue to flock into the TDP. While Thota Narsimham from East Godavari and J C Diwakar Reddy said they would join TDP on March 21 and 23 respectively, Congress MLA Eli Venkata Madhusudhana Rao alias Nani (Tadepalligudem) joined the party on Wednesday.
'I am sure the Congress Party won't have a single leader to represent it in Anantapur district after March 23. TDP will win all Assembly and Lok Sabha seats in the district by a landslide in the ensuing general polls,' Diwakar Reddy said.
He took the membership of the TDP in the presence of party president N Chandrababu Naidu. Eli Nani was considered a close aide of Union Minister K Chiranjeevi and had won the 2009 Assembly polls from Tadepalligudem in West Godavari district on Praja Rajyam Party ticket.
After the merger of the PRP, Nani moved closer to the then Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and had been with him till Kiran quit. Interestingly, S Saila janath the vice-president of Jai Samaikyandhra Party, launched by Kiran Kumar Reddy, is also contemplating to join TDP.
Speaking to reporters in Anantapur district on Wednesday, Diwakar Reddy praised Chandrababu Naidu, saying, 'There is no leader other than Naidu in Seemandhra who can develop the residuary State of Andhra Pradesh. TDP's future looks very bright'.
He said he would announce his decision in a day or two. Meanwhile, film actor Venu Madhav called on Chandrababu Naidu at his residence and decided to join the party. It is learnt that Venu Madhav is likely to contest from Kodad Assembly segment in Nalgonda district.
He, however, did not confirm this when asked by reporters. At the same time, he appealed to the Janasena leader Pawan Kalyan to support TDP during the Assembly and the Lok Sabha elections.
