T-Cong condemns Harish Rao's criticism
Hyderabad, March 23 (INN): The Telangana Congress Committee on Sunday condemned TRS leader T Harish Rao for criticising the Congress party.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here, TPCC spokespersons Kankula Janardhan Reddy, A Dayakar and Ramesh asked TRS leader T Harish Rao to explain as to why his party was targetting the Congress party. They said that the Congress party took the risk of losing all 25 Lok Sabha seats in Seemandhra region by granting statehood to the Telangana region. They said no other party would have taken such a huge risk just to honour its promise.
They alleged that the TRS party's main intention of targeting the Congress was to promote K Chandrasekhar Rao's candidature for the Chief Minister's post. They pointed out that the TRS chief promised to make a Dalit CM during the statehood agitation. However, after the achievement of Telangana due to Congress party, KCR is trying hard to reach the top post.
They said that they were not reacting to the TRS criticism in strong words only to keep the doors of alliance open.
