KVR is committed to Ranga Reddy Development Hyderabad, March 23, 2014: TRS leader Konda Vishweshwar Reddy (KVR) Sunday had a meet and greet program at Hotel Quality Inn Pearl to meet with his supporters and well-wishers for over two hours. KVR an Engineer, entrepreneur, innovator and politician is contesting from the Chevella Parliamentary constituency on behalf of TRS. He is the grandson of former Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Sri K.V. Ranga Reddy, the foremost proponent of separate Telangana. Ranga Reddy district is named after him.
The audience mostly comprising of youngsters raised their apprehensions and sought his opinion on issues like jobs for Telangana; IT Industry development in Hyderabad; ideal role of politician; vision of KVR etc. In response Konda Vishweshwar Reddy assured the gathering about his commitment to strive for the development of Hyderabad. He promised to rationalise GO 111, which is the bane for lack of development in Ranga Reddy district; to encourage the IT sector and remove any hurdles but also promote true innovation and product development. He said, ITIR will transform Hyderabad into number one city with several IT jobs and three times non-IT jobs being generated from it, creating upteen employment opportunities for not only people of Telangana but for outsiders too. Statistics and research revealed by KVR on the occasion showed a new wave of political awareness amongst the voters and decline in the influence of caste and money in politics.
KVR stated that 'our belief of leadership is primarily framed in the pre-social media and IT era, things have changed since and politicians must change for the positive.' He shared his inspiration, why he entered politics, his vision and political ideology. He appealed to the audience to spread the message on social media and definitely to come out and vote. Many of the attendees impressed with his ideas and views, signed on as volunteers and promised to campaign for KVR.
KVR said electorate is much more evolved today and India is evolving as a democracy and these winds of change are translating into people like me entering politics. People and the media have played a crucial role as watch dogs in bringing about this transformation. According to him 50% of the sarpanches are honest, hardworking and popular, but as they go up the ladder and become MLAs and MPs, power corrupts them.
He said Chevella is the most diverse constituency in the country ranging from developed Hitech city to slums of worst kind in Rajendranagar, a combination of rural and urban electorate, agood percentage of migrant population, Marathi & Kannada speakers in Tandur etc. He said, our prime task is to improve the infrastructure, living conditions and make Hyderabad the best city in the country, this will attract the talented human resources and the investments. We will work towards empowering the local bodies in the true sense.
Several of the audience expressed their happiness at having a local from Chevella contesting from the constituency and desired he being accessible to the citizens, as the current MP after winning the elections never came back to them. Most of the audience agreed with KVR about Chevella Pranahitha project being unviable and will not serve the needs of Chevella, as Chevella is located on a higher plateau and pumping the water up will make it unviable. He promised to work towards bringing water from Juralla to the constituents in 3 to 4 years.
