Teach a lesson to parties that backed bifurcation: Kiran ELURU: Former chief minister and Jai Samaikyandhra Party (JSP) president N Kiran Kumar Reddy has continued the tirade against his opponents saying none of them has paid heed to his warnings about the implications of the state bifurcation.
He has said that the petitions filed by him against bifurcation in the court are under consideration and notices have been issued to the persons responsible for division of the state.
Addressing a gathering at Old Bus Stand Centre in Eluru Sunday during his whirlwind tour of West Godavari district, Kiran Kumar Reddy urged the people to teach a fitting lesson to parties which had supported bifurcation.
While Chandrababu Naidu gave a letter in support of Telangana, Jagan wanted to divide the state as per Article 3 of the Constitution. 'Congress, BJP, YSR Congress and Telugu Desam have colluded with one another to bifurcate the state for their political gains.
Such parties should not be spared. I urge you to vote for Jai Samaikyandhra Party in the general elections to teach a lesson to all these parties,' he added.
Kiran Reddy also criticised Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K Chandrasekhar Rao for stating that he would not release water downstream of the Seemandhra region.
'Who is KCR to make such statements? It seems he does not know that if water is not released downstream, the entire Telangana will be submerged by river waters. If KCR tries to stop the river water to downstream, we will switch off power supply to Telangana,' he warned.
The former chief minister had a tough time while addressing the public gathering. He was at pains to explain that he had resigned to the chief minister's post and the Congress party at the right time to stop bifurcation.
He also interacted with the party cadre, students, women and others who met met him to extend their support to the newly-formed party.
