Paritala group upset with the entry of JC into TDP HYDERABAD: Congress leaders from Seemandhra continue to embrace the Telugu Desam in search of greener pastures.
The latest to join the yellow brigade is Congress veteran JC Diwakar Reddy and his brother Prabhakar Reddy, who were once considered powerful leaders in the Congress in Anantapur district. Diwakar Reddy's son Pawan Kumar Reddy followed suit.
The three leaders took the membership of the TDP in the presence of party chief N Chandrababu Naidu at his residence here on Sunday.
After embracing the yellow party, Diwakar Reddy gave a clarion call to the people of Seemandhra to teach the ruling party a fitting lesson for unlawfully dividing the state by burying in the polls.
Praising the TDP boss to the skies, the veteran politicos said, 'Naidu is an efficient administrator. I am sure that under his leadership, the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh will flourish on all fronts.'
Diwakar Reddy's admission to the TDP seems to have not gone down well with the party MLA from Raptadu in Anantapur district, Paritala Sunitha. The widow of slain TDP leader Paritala Ravindra is said to be preparing herself to join the BJP as the TDP chief ignored her pleas against admitting the JC brothers with whom her family has a long- running political rivalry in the district.
