Social Telangana to be poll plank of T-TDP HYDERABAD: Indirectly referring to the BJP, the TDP leaders from Telangana made it clear that they had resolved to request their party chief N Chandrababu Naidu to forge an electoral alliance with a like-minded party in Telangana so as to dislodge the Congress from power.
''We all have decided to urge our party chief Naidu to enter into an electoral understanding with a like-minded party in Telangana. This will be decided very soon,' said L Ramana, the president of the TDP Election Committee for Telangana.
Interestingly, the TTDP leaders are learnt to be displeased with the party leadership's decision of not including them in the party's panel, which is holding negotiations with the BJP over seat-sharing.
The newly constituted TDP's election committee for Telangana had its first meeting at NTR Bhavan here. According to sources, during the meeting, majority members of the committee expressed their anguish for not consulting them over seat-sharing with BJP in Telangana.
'It is not fair on the part of our party leadership to not avail the services of any Telangana leader of our party in the ongoing talks between the TDP and the BJP,' a senior leader of the TTDP election panel said.
He took strong exception for giving full powers to Y Satyanarayana Chowdary alias Sujana Chowdary who is from Seemandhra, in finalising the seat-sharing for Telangana.
Emerging from the meeting, Telangana TDP election committee president L Ramana, working president E Dayakar Rao and convener Motkupalli Narsimhulu told reporters that they were confident that people of weaker sections would definitely back the TDP as Naidu had already announced that he would make a BC the first chief minister of Telangana state if his party came to power.
