Results in 45 days if voted to power: Jagan Visakhapatnam: Vote for fan and you are assured of a bright future, YSR Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy has said during his roadshows at Anakapalle and Tagarapuvalasa in Visakhapatnam district on Thursday.
Jagan promised to continue the welfare programmes launched by his father the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy. 'While the Congress government had punctured all these schemes putting the beneficiaries in trouble, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, who ignored the poor during his tenure as CM, is now promising the moon to them,' he said.
People are not ready to believe Naidu, who was making false promises like transforming Seemandhra into a Singapore, after joining hands with Congress for state bifurcation, he said.
Jagan said people could witness both welfare and development just after 45 days if his party comes to power in the state. 'We will ensure rapid industrialisation to generate employment and build a capital city that would make those who took away Hyderabad from us feel jealous,' he added.
Vijayawada: Meanwhile in Krishna district, YSRC leader Sharmila has appealed to the people to give the party the numbers to decide the next prime minister and get help from the Centre to develop the new state.
As a part of her election campaign, she has conducted roadshows in Jaggaiahpet constituency along with party Assembly candidate Samineni Udayabhanu and Vijayawada Lok Sabha constituency candidate Koneru Rajendra Prasad.
Speaking at the meetings, she called TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu a 'big psycho'. As CM, he had sent mounted police to attack Anganwadi works who were staging a dharna in Hyderabad to press their demands, she said.
State bifurcation would not have happened had her father the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy been alive, she added.
Sharmila promised that YSRC would solve the drinking water problem in Jaggaiahpet mandal within one-year if voted to power.
