KCR's visit to historic Mothe village today Hyderabad: Mothe village in Nizamabad district has a special place in the Telangana agitation. It is from there that TRS chief KCR launched the struggle 13 years ago.
After achieving his demand for statehood, the pink party chief is to re-visit Mothe on March 28. It was the first village to unanimously adopt a resolution backing the agitation.
KCR had taken a vow years back, which he would seek to fulfill now. Rao will carry sand from Mothe back to the village, which he had stored in the Telangana Bhavan, party headquarters in Hyderabad.
He will unwrap the 'bag' containing soil of Mother earth in local Rajarajeshwari Temple. Villagers are busy making arrangements under the aegis of Mothe Development Committee, for the historic trip, which will help revive the spirit of Telangana sentiment once again.
Balkonda TRS in-charge Vemula Prashanth Reddy is overseeing the arrangements. KCR will reach the village at 2 pm in a helicopter and address a public meeting later.
Rumours are afloat that the TRS chief will shower incentives, like funds, to the village, including release of Rs 5 crore for infrastructure development.
