Only young can script destiny for Seemandhra: Jagan VIZIANAGARAM: YSR Congress party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy spent more time praising his late father YS Rajasekhara Reddy and ridiculing Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu than explaining his poll promises during his campaign at Nellimerla on the outskirts of Vizianagaram Friday.
All through his tour of Vizianagaram town and later at the public meeting at Nellimerla, Jagan was welcomed by massive crowds. During the day, he discussed party affairs with leaders and met activists.
Addressing public in the evening, he continued his tirade against the Congress on the state bifurcation. Accusing Chandrababu Naidu as the most unreliable person, Jagan said, 'The TDP chief is promising the moon knowing full well that he cannot deliver anything. People do not trust the TD chief.'
Jagan had choicest words for Naidu for 'joining hands with the Congress in the state bifurcation'. Seemandhra people will teach a befitting lesson to the Congress for cheating them, he said.
Recalling the legacy of his late father, Jagan vowed to continue the welfare agenda of YSR besides building a new state capital for Andhra Pradesh which would be envied by others and change the course of the state. 'The state needs young blood to put it on the track of development,' he added.
The YSRC supremo promised to build 10 lakh houses per year and fulfill the dream of his father. Every illegal liqour shop would be shut, every child would go to school and every village would have a fully-equipped office where ration cards, pension cards, and house pattas would be issued on the spot bringing governance to the doorstep of people, he said.
