TDP committee on TDP-BJP seat sharing Hyderabad, Mar 29: Contrary to expectations, the eagerly-awaited announcement on an alliance between the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the BJP for the ensuing general elections was further delayed as the TDP seemed to be reluctant to concede BJP's demand on seat sharing.
Senior BJP leader Prakash Javadekar held a marathon discussion with TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu at the latter's Jubilee Hills residence last night but the talks could not make much headway as both sides stuck to their guns on seat sharing.
To expedite the alliance process, the TDP today constituted a three-member committee comprising senior party leaders from Telangana to continue confabulations with the BJP leaders on the issue. Telangana TDP president L Ramana, working president Errebelli Dayakara Rao and Convenor Motkupalli Narasimhulu have been named as memmbers of the committee.
