These youngsters by participating in the ride in large numbers are sending a strong message of the grave urgency to save our planet and that each one of us has to contribute our bit for the cause. Conserve energy and minimise electric power usage by switching off the lights, fans and other electric appliances whenever inessential, he added.
HBC has taken the initiative to make this day very special by hosting Eco Friendly Cycle Ride to spread awareness about the day and also more significantly to adopt Bicycle as the mode of transport and save the earth from pollution emanating from burning of non-renewable fossil fuels, says Mr D.V.
