Modi sends Ugadi greetings in Telugu HYDERABAD: Gujarat chief minister and BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi has greeted the Telugu people on the eve of Ugadi, the Telugu New Year Day, in Telugu. He has sent the greetings to every Telugu person having email.
The greeting typed in Telugu language on his official letterhead, reads 'Telugu prajalandiriki 'Jaya Nama Samvatsara' Ugadi Subakankshalu. E Samvatsaram Telugu prajalandariki, Bharata jatiki subhamu kalagalani korukuntunnanu'' (Ugadi greetings to all Telugu people for the new year Jaya. Let the year be prosperous to all Telugu people and to Indians at large.) It was signed Narendra Modi.
The small gesture by the BJP's prime ministerial candidate seems to be an effort on to reach out to every one in the country in a manner they are comfortable.
