Municipal poll results on April 9
Hyderabad, April 1 (INN): The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday directed the authorities to declare the results of municipal elections on April 9. Delivering its judgment, the Court felt that the results of municipal polls should be declared on April 9 to ensure that the authorities abide its earlier order of completing the entire election process by April 10.
Therefore, the counting of votes and declaration of results will now be done on April 9. The arguments on the very issue of declaration of the results of municipal polls were concluded on Tuesday.
During the course of arguments, the court viewed that it was necessary to consider the opinion of Election Commission and held the arguments of the petitioner were baseless.
