News: Headline News | Naidu allegations stem out of fear: YSRCP Hyderabad, April 4 (INN): Terming as baseless and mischievous the allegations leveled against party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, YSRCP has said N Chandrababu Naidu and his friendly media have been spinning stories as TDP is unable to take the election sprint on a level play field and resorting to unfair and mudslinging campaign though the verdict of the people has been clean and clear.
'A section of the press and Chandrababu Naidu are carrying out a vicious campaign against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy by trying to link him to the Titanium scam that has come up.
The TDP leader and head of the media group have spun a story with pure imagination, distorting the facts beyond reason as Naidu is unable to face the YSRCP wave that is sweeping across the region,' party spokesperson Gattu Ramachandra Rao told reporters here on Friday.
The US Justice Department has charged a Ukrainian businessman Dimitry Firtash and five others with bribing officials of State and Central governments to secure mining permits. One of the other names mentioned is that of KVP Ramachandra Rao.
'It is for KVP Ramachandra Rao to answer and trying to link YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the scam is nothing but sheer misdemeanor. Blowing the term a close relative out of proportions, Chandrababu Naidu says that the person is YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Blood relatives are often referred to as kin which is common knowledge. If the media house and Chandrababu repeatedly speak the same lie in the same accent it is clear that there is a conspiracy angle to it,' he said.
The Ukrainian businessman has denied the bribing of officials while Naidu and the vernacular newspaper went hammer and tongs trying to implicate YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the scam though there is no mention of his name or any reference.
They even went out of way and have been vociferously speaking about American laws that have insulted Indian envoy Devayani and have refused visa to Narender Modi post- Godra riots and leveled allegations against Sonia Gandhi after the Sikh riots following Indira Gandhi assassination.
If the extra-territorial loyalty is so profound, it shows their eagerness only to sling mud at YS Jagan Mohan Reddy ahead of the elections to gain some political mileage. 'We believe in law of the land and people are aware of the cheap gimmicks of Naidu and his mouthpiece media.
The owner of the media house was indicted by courts in a few cases which were hushed up and Chandrababu Naidu did not own up the Telgi stamp paper scam when his cabinet colleague was arrested and sent to jail.
One of his close associate was involved in distributing counterfeit notes but TDP President did not own it up either. The media house owner has no answer as to where from he has acquired 4-km land for the entrance to his Film City. Naidu was referred to as the Big Boss in University scandal and the duo have a dubious record filled with scams.
For the past four years, Naidu and the media house have been leveling charges against our party president and people have been pronouncing their verdict decisively which is always in favour of YSRCP.
TDP could not win a single seat in the by-elections held to two Lok Sabha and 42 assembly seats and its voting percentage is drastically dropping.
Unable to play a fair game, they are resorting to such cheap gimmicks which will boomerang as it happened in the past. Spreading such falsehood would make the people more resolute to vote for YSRCP, he said.
