Kishan Reddy not to contest from Amberpet Hyderabad: State BJP president G Kishan Reddy said that he would not contest elections from Amberpet Assembly constituency. Replying to a question on his constituency, Kishan Reddy said that all the constituencies in Telangana are his own.
The seats have not been finalised and he would talk on the constituencies only after party's parliamentary board decides. 'If the party high command asks me not to contest I will not contest and I would only campaign,' said Kishan Reddy.
Replying to a question, Kishan Reddy said that there are many candidates for Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency and this time the elections would be different.
'The people are fed up with the 'goondagiri' of Majlis and are willing to vote for BJP,' claimed Kishan Reddy. Kishan Reddy said that the alliance talks between his party and the TDP would come to a conclusion by Saturday.
He said that his party's high command had given proposals for 50 Assembly and 9 Lok Sabha constituencies in Telangana and in Seemandhra the party has been asking 20 MLAs and six Lok Sabha constituencies. Kishan Reddy said that there is clarity on 30 Assembly constituencies and clarity should come for the remaining seats by Saturday.
The party's official spokesperson and state incharge Prakash Javadekar is leading the talks between the BJP and TDP. After discussions with TDP leaders on the proposals of Seemandhra leaders the Javadekar would talk on Telangana seats, he added. Both the parties are likely to discuss on the alliance on Saturday also and come to a conclusion.
Meanwhile, after receiving a call from the BJP's national leaders, the TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu deferred the proposed announcement of candidates list by another day. He is likely to announce the first list on Saturday.
According to sources, the BJP has asked its leaders to start filing nomination papers cautioning them that the TDP chief cannot be believed. Going by the party's instructions, Y Lakshminarayana filed nomination papers from Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency and NVSS Prabhakar filed from Uppal constituency and another candidate had filed from Yellareddy.
