Tummala, Nama followers clash over Palair seat KHAMMAM: Internal bickering in the Khammam district unit of TDP have again come to the fore. It is no secret that Khammam MP Nama Nageswara Rao and Khammam MLA Tummala Nageswara Rao are leading two groups, virtually dividing the district party units into two factions.
However, the infighting reached a crescendo when workers of both the factions clashed in the district headquarters. The clashes took place following the comments made by Khammam MP Nama Nageswara Rao at the 'Meet-the-Press' programme held in the town Saturday.
Nama said that Tummala should stick to his present MLA constituency of Khammam and should not relocate to Palair as a woman leader Baby Swarna Kumari, who is already working as constituency incharge, is willing to contest from there.
The MP felt that Tummala would be doing injustice to her if he chose to contest from Palair. TDP mandal presidents in Palair Assembly constituency appealed to the high command to offer the Palair Assembly ticket to Baby Swarna Kumari saying she has been striving for development of the party for the last five years.
